The Environmental Club at Stillman Valley High School is encouraging students, staff, and families to help the environment by taking part in its pumpkin compost collection. Instead of throwing away pumpkins after Halloween, people can bring their pumpkins to Stillman Valley High School to be composted. This is an easy way to help the environment. Pumpkins can be dropped off on the pallets behind the school. For composting to work, pumpkins have to be plain and have no paint, jewels, glitter, or other decorations on them. Please make sure to remove any decorations before dropping off your pumpkin. Collection will take place from Nov. 1 to 20. The Environmental Club hopes this project will help the school and community learn more about composting and reducing waste.
