Putnam County 25-10, 26-24: Myah Richardson had eight kills, seven digs, six assists, five points, two aces and three blocks as the No. 6-seeded Panthers lost to the No. 2 Norsemen in the Class 1A Serena Regional championship match Thursday in Serena.Britney Trinidad had seven digs, five assists, five kills, four points, two aces and a block for Putnam County (20-10-4), while Sarah Wiesbrock contributed 15 digs.Newark, which won its ninth consecutive regional title, advances to the Wethersfield Sectional to play Orion on Tuesday.
